Flatpack Festival

Flatpack takes over venues across Birmingham every spring with a packed, colourful menu of events, screenings, exhibitions, installations and parties.

The festival grew out of the legendary 7 Inch Cinema mixed-media nights at the Rainbow in Digbeth, and while it has grown rapidly over the decade since it remains committed to the same things: using venues imaginatively, creating a sense of occasion, and exploring the full spectrum of film – particularly in the areas where the moving image bumps into other artforms.

Described by The Guardian as “the UK’s most open minded festival”, the festival’s eclectic and informal atmosphere draws people from across the UK.
